Critique de Jerôme Conin du concert du 04/06/98 (soir) au Palais Des Sports; Paris, France

After the Private show we attended me and my friends, here is what happened at the evening
concert in Paris:
_7:18 PM: We run away from the Fnac Etoile store.
_7:50 PM: We have been in the subway for almost 50 minutes, we are very excited about the next
concert, we are trying to figure out what songs we'd like to hear tonight.
_7:55 PM: We finally arrive at the Palais Des Sports where The Pumpkins are playing tonight, a
lot of people are trying to get inside.
_8:00 PM: We are inside the covered stadium, the security guard who takes care of the tickets
didn't screw my autograph of D'Arcy on the ticket (thanks God !). The place is huge, it's a
general admission so a lot of people are already fighting at the front rows (without any
music, and with the lights on)! The concert was sold-out, a lot of fans were there (40% had SP
T-Shirts). The band was scheduled to play right now. No item was on sale (not even T-Shirts)

_8:20 PM: I take a seat and watch those stupid moshers fighting (why do they fight? There is
no music at all), the security guards throw water to the crowd, a girl have to be rescued
because she's almost dead, but she comes back in the crowd after 10 minutes.
_8:30 PM: The lights are shut, the stadium goes crazy, a bunch of Indians comes on stage and
sing for 20 minutes, it was funny but after 10 minutes of Macarena, the crowd screamed at
them.
_8:50 PM: The opening band leaves the stage, the lights comes back.
_9:20 PM: The stage is ready for the Pumpkins, the soundcheck was made by some guys of the
crew, everytime they played some noise, the crowd went nuts!
_9:25 PM: The crowd is still fighting and the security guards are kept busy.
_9:30 PM: The lights are shut. The stadium is ready to rawk !
_9:35 PM: The band comes on stage. And begins right now with "To Sheila". Billy doesn't have
his hat, D'Arcy has her famous shirt, James wears his orange shirt.
_11:45 PM: The show is over, and everybody is tired.
_12:00 PM: We are in the subway, our clothes are full of sweat, we are very tired and
starving.
_1:25 AM: I'm in my bed, I had the best day of my life with those two concerts, I had 3 hours
and 15 minutes of Pumpkins today!

Before Tonight, Tonight Billy asked: "How do you say Tonight in French", the stadium screamed
"Ce Soir", so during the song he said "Ce Soir, Ce Soir" instead of "Tonight, Tonight".
Before Transmission, James said: "Prepair the Spaceship".
During Transmission, Billy said that the Aliens took control over the radio then the Earth
took it back so that's why we only can hear Celin Dion on the Radio.

I really enjoyed this concert because I met some other Pumpkins fans (only few of them have
access to internet so it's hard to meet them). The audience was ok, except those f*ckers who
were moshing and who ruined my pants !!!!
